Your business has more in common with boxing than you think… Allow me to explain.

Mike Tyson – one of the most ferocious heavy-weight boxers to ever set foot in the ring – had a completely different demeanor growing up…

In his tell-all memoir Undisputed Truth written with Larry Sloman, Mike is described as a shy teenager lacking in self-confidence before Cus D’Amato entered his world…

Cus was a boxing manager and trainer who took interest in Mike early on and adopted him after his mother died…

What’s fascinating is exactly how Cus single-handedly transformed Mike..

Having experienced the loss of his mother, constantly getting into trouble, having no self-confidence or discipline… the last thing you’d expect of the kid is to turn into the heavyweight champion of the world and the baddest man alive.

Mike specifically recalls his “chats” with D’Amato…

Cus would constantly build Mike’s self-image up… calling him champ” and future millionaire”.

He’d say: “You’re gonna be on TV Mike… on the cover of all those famous magazines”.

Tyson on the other hand, thought Cus’ age was getting to him… he couldn’t even entertain those thoughts in his imagination…

Yet Cus kept doing this for years, especially in Mike’s first fights…

You see… Cus would sit him down and literally download” images in his mind about how his left hook punch would drop them all (and boy did it do exactly that!)

Cus knew what he was doing… very few trainers practiced this.

Psychologists refer to this phenomenon as Transference… the subconscious redirection of feelings and emotions from one person to another through repetition. It’s widely used in psychotherapy today.

In a nutshell… Mike’s self-image was reprogrammed by D’Amato for him.

He didn’t even have to take Cus seriously for his self-image to blossom unconsciously.

When Mike looks back at his career… he identifies Cus as the x-factor” for his rise to sporting fame.

After Cus died… Mike never looked the same in the ring.

Now…

Back to you and your business…

You see, you can…

Use A Similar Concept In YOUR Business To Get People Hot N’ Bothered For Your Products & Services

Like Cus did with Tyson… You too can transfer the desire to buy right to your prospect’s head with future pacing.

Future pacing is psychology and NLP jargon for taking your prospect on a ride to the future… where they see, hear, and feel what it will be like after they get their hands on your offer.

You’re painting pretty pictures in their minds here…

Suppose your big-benefit is “make more money”…

Now…

Did you stumble on a tax loop-hole that an ex-wall street mogul kept secret for decades?

Did you help X Y Z clients grow their businesses 30-40-50% in so-and-so time frame with those killer secrets?

Did you somehow identify one deadly trap all your clients fell into which contributed to their financial struggles and helped them solve it?

What does a happy client look like, feel like, and dance like after learning the secret financial wizardry of biz growth you teach?

What does “more freedom” look like for a family that invests in your coaching/products?

Will they have tighter bonds and closer relationships with their children as they finally get to vacation together whenever they want after years of only dreaming about it?

You want to drill-down beyond the surface level benefits…

Ask yourself what does “more money” or “more freedom” or “sexy body” really mean for your prospect.

Imagine you are the one behind the screen reading your sales letter with all those unmet desires, dreams, and aspirations bouncing around your head. Would you opt-in or buy right now?

As ambitious, driven entrepreneurs… it can be difficult to remember what it was like to be afraid, anxious, and skeptical all the time.

It pays to consciously put yourself in that frame of mind to earn the TRUST of your prospect…

When you do that… you’ve now attracted them instead of aggressively chasing them around.

Be the “coach” they’re missing in their life who can satisfy their deepest desires and alleviate their fears…

Build them up just like Cus D’amato did with Mike Tyson…

You are the guide, and they are your hero in the making.
